Steve Lew and his wife Janet moved to Santa Barbara from the Los Angeles area in January 1999. Steve served as a Board Member from 2003-2019, including two years as Board Chair.
Steve is an emeritus board member of Visiting Nurse and Hospice Care, serving as a board member for 10 years including three years as the board chair. He currently is the immediate past chair of California Concern, a local group of men and women whose mission is to improve the quality of life for Santa Barbara area residents. In addition to being active in the local community, Steve enjoys sports including fantasy baseball; playing bridge; movies; connecting with family and friends; and traveling. Steve and Janet have five children and seven grandchildren.
Steve retired from Universal Studios, Inc. in December 2000 after a career spanning more than 25 years. During this time, he served in several senior management and executive capacities. He attended Michigan State University and Oklahoma State University, majoring in hotel management and graduating from OSU in 1961.
